Default Replacement Speakers in a C5

I understand the stock Bose speakers in the front doors of my 2003 C5 are 3 1/2 diameter? Will a 4 inch diameter speaker fit into the same cavity/box without having to do any mods outside of drilling a couple new mounting holes? Don't want to find out different after pulling the door panels off.

There is a wider selection of 4" speakers then 3 1/2. Like Cerwin Vega seems to have only one 3 1/2 speaker option.

Call Dennis at Double DD, he'll fix you up with any kind of adapter you need to make it work

3.5 only.

Thanks DD, I'm still partial to Cerwin Vega. Just like the sound but they only have one 3 1/2 available. At least that eliminates my indecision! LOL

By the way is that a core shifter in your pic? If so how do you like it?
