GMOS 04 Questions

I have installed the GMOS 04 with a Maestro SW and have a couple questions for the audio gurus.

Is it true that the settings for the potentiometer are lost if the battery is disconnected ?

Are there any other better options to hook up a Nex 8200 in a 2012 ZR1 besides this thing using the Maestro SW ?

Does anybody have a better alternative to the GMOS 04 for installation in a 2012 with Bose ? This thing has to go.

I only use PAC Audio for my packages as the gmos04 is not a fav of mine.

Thanks for the feedback. I can understand why. Its a total POS. I bet most their sales are from people buying it and tossing it immediately to buy something else.
