Default Wiring aftermarket front speakers C5

I'm installing some 6 1/2 JL's in my front doors of a 2003 Convertible C5. I have everything apart but the harness that plugs into the Bose speakers looks complicated, do I have to run new speaker wires to run these in the front door or can I tie into the factory block, I'm also using the new JVC single din head unit. So I am bypassing the whole Bose system. Any help is appreciated!

Right front door, light green is (+), dark green is (-).
Left front door, tan is (+), gray is (-).
They are the two wires on the outboard side of each harness.

You can use the factory wiring if you are just powering from the head unit which is usually ~18w RMS/ channel (regardless of what specs say, 50W/channel is not realistic from a HU).
If I was using an amp with substantially more power then I would want to use thicker wire.

I guess I didnt clarify. Cam I tap into the wires from the block that plugged into the bose speaker? There is like 8 wires going to that.

I gave you the colors going to the female end.
On the male end of the connector there is a a black with a red stripe (+) and black with a green stripe (-) on the outside edge of the plug.

Ok I'll look for them. Can I just cut them and tie in my JL speakers? Thanks for all your help.

You can.

Running new wires would preserve the stock wiring in case you ever have to return it to stock.

I have plenty of speaker wire to do that I was just wondering how big of a job it was to get it through that Bellows in the door .

The bellow is HUGE. Just run the wires, I like 12 or 14 gauge, but 16 gauge will work.

That's great news, should I just run the rear wires as well since I'm already running them?

There is a harness made by Metra you can buy for using the existing rear wiring harness. It is just a 2 pin harness if you don't want to run wire back there.
