Been waiting all winter to get my Pioneer AVIC8200 NEX installed in my 2004 C5 - where is the best place to mount the GPS antenna ? thanks Bob
I placed mine front and center, just in fron of the defrost vent. I also have a AVIC8200 NEX ready and waiting to be installed in my 1999 Z51. I'm just waiting to get my Bezel back from Double D Mods.
Good Luck and keep me in the loop oh how your install is going.
Great day out today, I'm going to wire my Backup camera today, wish I could drive it.
should be able to just stick it on top of the receiver. unlike XM the gps doesn't need a straight view of the sky. as long as their is no metal plate above it you're fine. toyota for one actually has the factory spot in the trucks behind the cluster
if you have one of the cool magnetic ones just place it on top of the nex when you install it, this method works well in 99 out of 100 cars. keeps the antenna hidden and it's beyond simple
Just as another option- I located mine on top of the passenger side hatch latch (coupe.) It's under the carpet and completely invisible. [Kenwood DMX 7704s]

Sweet! That is excatly what I am going to do with with my INE-W960 in the morning. I routed the wire around and was going to put it on top of the dash and was wondering the exact same thing. Thanks for the tip!
