My friend has a job which requires that his vehicle, Honda civic or Toyota rav4, sit outside for up to 8-10 days. Not bad in the summer but sometime didn't start. So I would like to get a portable 12V jump starter just in case needed. Anyone have experience with these? I found some 12V jump starters, they look like great...
Never used any of those but it is not good for the battery to let it die so often and then jump it. That will really shorten the life of the battery. I recommend a battery tender. If kept indoors, near a power outlet a simple $20 tender will work. If outside, not near power I suggest a solar powered tender. They are usually a little more expensive but cheaper than those jump start packs.

I have used one similar to jump start cars, with no problem. I can't believe that little battery works great.
Used them on C4, my C6 twice, friends Van with success.
Only thing after you jump start a car you need to charge it up again, before next use, and I recharge it every 30 days to keep it fresh and ready to go...
I would think that there is already a battery problem... I can go weeks without starting my car and still have enough battery...
But now, on to the question... No experience with the three that you have posted, but I own this. I haven't had to use it on my C5, but have used it on a friends vehicle. Worked like a champ!
This does sound like a battery issue. Any idea how old the battery is? It would be a good idea to have the electrical system checked out. Have the battery load tested and check the alternator for the required output. Look for any current draw on the battery. Sitting for 8-10 days should not cause any problems with the battery.
Hello everyone, I read this topic and thought about buying myself a jump starter, I also read several reviews and chose the Noco GB 150 for myself, it has a rather large capacity that will allow you not to charge it often. https://reviewerst.com/jump-starters...-jump-starter/ here is a review which described the advantages and disadvantages of the models.
