Stereo upgrade
i just bought an 04 coupe with a factory Bose stereo. Want to upgrade as to add Apple play and rear camera. Have been told at two places that the console must be replaced to accommodate the new system. Is anyone aware of a stereo that can be added without changing the console?

I'm not sure what the OP meant by not wanting to make modifications but the Metra bezel requires you to lower the HVAC controls, has a pocket where the ash tray was and the cup holder doesn't have a cover.
That doesn't really bother me because the stock stereo is way out dated, you shouldn't smoke in a Corvette and the stock cup holder didn't really hold cups any way.
This modification is reversible however. The Metro bezel has brackets, templates and good instructions.
