polarity can be tested with calibrated software or simply using a 1.5v AA battery. this only works on cones you can see move. tweeters can be checked with apps on your android or iphone where you can map phase and see what a signwave does one way or the other

Also if it is really cold where you are working be careful of the plastic door panels etc when you go to try and pop them off plastic has a bad habit of cracking when its cold or breaking off all the door retainer tabs which are plastic pins.

Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up pulling the door panel before I saw this as it wasn't too difficult to get off. When I started using a flashlight I saw these faint little "+" signs on one wire so they were indeed marked but I couldn't see them until looking very close and with a flashlight. So everything is hooked up and I spent some time working with the EQ and amp settings to get it all dialed in. Sounds really good considering the set up.
