I have a 2013 427 with Bose/Nav and looking for some improvement in sound while minimizing loss of space and spending $300 or less. From research here it seems like best way to that would be to add a powered sub.
Currently looking at: Bazooka 10" 200W RMS; Bass Pro SL-JBL 8" 125W RMS; Cerwin Vega VPAS10 200W RMS; Sound Storm LoPro10 600W RMS.
Would REALLY appreciate input from any who have used one of these, as well as any suggestions for other other small models that are around my price point.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
Obviously a different application but for ease of install and still good performance.
I put a Bazooka self powered sub in my 2000 F-250 Crew Cab. It fit just perfectly behind the rear passenger seat. 18 years later it's still there and still giving me plenty of thump!
I would definitely consider one in my GS coupe but for now, just my upgraded HU has proved to be enough with the 13 band GE to give me plenty of bass out of the door subwoofers. I'm actually pretty happy with the stock speaker setup in these cars. The head unit upgrade improvement at least for now is all I need. I will admit however that once the top comes off the wind will quickly absorb most of that bass for sure.

I added a compact sub to my Bose system about a year ago and wow nice improvement. Not that booming bass, but bass that just complements and rounds out the sound really nice. I bought this Kenwood compact sub. And comes with a remote so you can adjust the sound on the fly.
