C6 bose subwoofer info
Guys - I spent hours looking for this info so I thought I should give everyone a heads up:
C6's have two separate 10" BOSE "premium" 'subwoofer' door speakers.
The first generation has PN: ACDELCO 15295310
The second generation has PN: ACDELCO 25972197
the NON bose has PN: ACDELCO 22753191
The first generation runs from 2005-2009
The 2nd gen runs from 2010-2013.
This is information gleaned from Rockauto so please dont take this as 100% truth - we all know how GM likes to dip into its "excess" bins...
but it does appear the 2nd generation speakers can be EASILY swapped for another set of speakers (e.g. 6.5" with a speaker adapter) instead of having to swap speakers + amp.

UPDATE for those with 2010+ bose units...
I finally installed the 6.5"s into the place of the 10".
BAD NEWS....
the factory amp LPFs the signal going to the door 10s so all I got were mid-bass out of the speaker.
If anyone is going to do a swap, buy coax 3.5s for the highs and some woofers for the doors. Not sure if the stock amp can push the woofers but it'll be better than what it was earlier.
I had the thought of running the 3.5" signal to the doors but decided against it for now. Going to lick my wounds and figure out how to do this without running an aftermarket amp.
Also, because this is LPF'd, for those with aftermarket head units that can filter the front sounds, i would recommend you either run no filter to the fronts or lower the HPF to the 60/50 hz range or else the front 10's are useless.
