Thought I'd pass this on to help others that are interested in trading out their stock head unit. This comes straight from the 2001 service manual - with a few personal notes of my own. (I'd scan and post the pages, but I believe that's a big GM and forum no-no. I don't think there's any issue with what I've done here though.)

* Normal 3rd party Harnesses only plug into the stacked C1/C2 connectors. I'm supplying the pinnouts to C3 and C4 for those tapping into the factory CD harness.

I dont think I will need C3/4 because he is using amps, not the Alpine HU power ... and the C1/C2 ... according to what you said, should be a part of the harness I will buy ...

Watch out for the coupe antenna power/relay wires in the harness you buy. The one I bought had them mislabeled as something else. If your friend has a vert, then never mind.
