Second Skin Corvette Sound Damping Package ???
Has anyone bought or know of anyone who has installed the Second Skin Corvette package?
Does anyone have any idea if this package would be better than the Vettenuts C6 Premium package?
Can I get those of you who have installed sound damping kits in you car to comment on the after results as far as did the kit quiet the cabin down the way you expected or was the decrease just minimal.
Also can you comment on which kit you installed
Thanks,
BMF

BMF C6 - consider taking a look for my installation.
I would recommend based on experience for ~$500.
This website has a lot of good information. https://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/
From them purchase, some of their kit for C6.
https://www.sounddeadenershowdown.co...oupe-2005-2013
60 - CLD Tiles
1 - Extruded Butyl Rope
32 Velcro® Strips, Adhesive both sides - 2"x4"
1 - 32 oz can of HH-66 Vinyl Contact Cement
Purchase C6 Corvette Pre Cut Insulation Kit - http://www.vettenuts.net/index.php?l...t_detail&p=280
(This replaces the nine sheets of SDS 1/8"x36"x54" Neoprene/EPDM Closed Cell Foam)
Purchase from Amazon:
Soundsulate Mass Loaded Vinyl 4' X 25', 100 sq ft 1 lb MLV
Trace the Vettenuts kit over the Amazon MLV with a gold sharpie.
This creates a custom template for your vehicle.
Install the SDS CLD tiles only needs 25- 50% coverage, not like a baked potato.
Then the CCF from Vettenuts.
Top off with the MLV from Amazon.
I achieve this with a 5 - 9db decrease in road noise, dependent on the surface of the road.
FWIW, I compete in IASCA.

Was just about to say "look at sounddeadenershowdown.com" but I see that has already been covered. Don is the man, and he's a great resource if you have any questions about sound deadening. He's literally been there and done that many times over.
