Default Speaker Questions

I am looking to replace the speakers in my c5. I want decent quality, but i don't want to spend a ton of money either. At this point i am not going to be adding an amp, but in the future it is a possibility. I have a kenwood kdc-x659 mp3 head unit. What do you guys suggest, and where are the best places to buy them. Thanks for the help.

What's your budget? RX series speakers from Boston Acoustics would fit the bill. They go for around $125 a pair and can work well with both head unit and amp power. But you really want to decide ahead of time what you want to have so you don't waste money. I know to many people who got something and then wanted more and then more and in the end spent 3x the amount they should have to get to the point they finished. Ask yourself, do I want a sub? How loud do I want the music to be and be clear? How important and often do I use the sterio and the car? What do I feel comfortable spending? Does this include me doing the install or paying someone to do it for me?
BTW, the site talking about the speakers is at http://www.bostonacoustics.com
and the site selling them is http://www.tms-electronics.com

Absolutely, plan out in advance just what it is you want as an end product then save up and buy it piece by piece. You will save more money in the long run and even though it may take longer to finish the job, you will be happy with the cash and aggravation you saved. Let us know what you want and we'll see what we can do.

jrc27, please heed there warning. I see so many people make this same mistake all the time. Don't buy throw-away components, buy it right the first time. Other than that, good luck and enjoy!
