I am in the process of installing a complete system in my 2013 C6 convertible. I just completed the Morimoto headlights and eagle eye tail lights.
First. Component I replaced was the stock Bose amp.
i chose to use the JL audio MX600/3. It was a great fit in the factory amp location. I removed the Bose amp and traced ot onto some 1/4” ABS plastic. I then cut it out leaving the upper end about 1.5” longer to accommodate the mounting of the JL amp. It fit great.
other components I am installing...
Pioneer 8200nex nav radio
JL audio components in the doors. Model C5
JL Audio stealth box subwoofers behind each seat.
Front and rear cameras
Also planning on replacing cigarette lighter with a USB/3.5 mm jack.
I will update this as I get to work on it.
The car lives at a second home in Arizona and I have limited time to work on it each trip.

No, my plan is to use the crutchfield wiring diagram to find all the low level outputs from the Bose/Nav head unit and bring to amp. I wanted a compact amp to mount where the Bose amp is to minimize the power and signal wires (for both loss and minimal car disassembly.) JL Audio C2 6.5 components in the door and JL 8” 8W1 subs in the rear cubby. I didn’t want subs in the door as the Bose cause vibrations. Plan to do some sound dampening in the doors.
Tricky part is designing the brackets for the amp. If I do like the OP, my settings will be facing the floor. I plan to take pictures.
From the research that I've done, you can not simply just remove the factory amp. It needs to stay connected for the audio system to work. You can use an integration device before or after the amp, but not in place of it.
please keep us posted...
I was able to remove the Bose Amp and run the OEM head unit low level inputs to aftermarket amps with no issues. Steering wheel controls still work, chimes work. If you use the low level inputs, you do not need an integration device. I would recommend using the signals upstream of the Bose amp.
