neither is supported. Use an datalink AL-CA. shoot me a pm if you have an questions about them. I personally use the resistor/relay method as it keeps the cost down, but if you don't want to mess with that, the CA works

Any input on what system to go with to attach to a relay/resistor ? Looking for a two way, long range system like DEI offers. I'd like to install it myself...

alarm/remote start, Viper 5806v. the relay and resistor just bypass the oem security while remote started (you can bypass the factory alarm with just resistors, but that is your choice) On my camaro and c5 i did just the resistors. This is a pretty simple car once you are past that.
as fyi, in my c6 i have the viper DS4, and 13 relays to start that! not for the diy'er. And unfortunately, the DS4 is awesome, but you will need to be a dealer to program/flash them.

for me, if you are doing a alarm/RS combo, i would permantely bypass the oem security. Let me know if you need any help with that, i can send you wiring info if needed

meter your key pellet, and notate the ohms, there are 15 different combos for gm, so you want to get as close (within 10%) of the key. then find a black 2 pin harness down the lower column, there will be a purple/white and white wire, those are you vats wires. from there cut the wire, and connect the resistor from in line with the other. this were permanently bypass the key code sending down the line to bcm. the resistor will alway be there, but if you are using the viper, just cut the start wire and connect the interrupt with your green and the purple

Well I went ahead and installed a Fortin Evo One system last week. It's great and it was easy and straightforward. The only thing it didn't do is bypass the immobilizer automatically, so I had to add a relay with a resistor to bypass it. Other than that it works great.

Oh and I took pictures of the install, but I'm afraid if I do a write-up, I'll be chastised by the purists for messing with the almighty C5 electrical system... Lol
