Default C5Z Double Din Install

Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to do with this harness? I took out the stock system and installed the new Kenwood HU with the Axxess and there seems to be nothing left for this harness to connect to? Am I missing something?

Axxess kit should have two modules. Looks like you may be missing one?

Item #3 in the diagram on Page 2

So in my picture below the top and middle harnesses go into the module but there's no place for the remaining small harness... not sure what to do with it?

I must be missing something, thanks for bearing with me here...

The XSVI only has one harness input into it; if you're saying two do I have the wrong one somehow? I have the 12-pin harness connected to it.

The last pic looks like the diagram. Which harness doesn't have a home?

It's a different plug Vince. The plug going into the XSVI-2004 isn't the correct one. I think either the main harness is wrong, or the XSVI-2004 is incorrect.

That plug is for the Bose system. I believe you can leave it disconnected. I am I the process of installing the same adapter into my C5. I checked the system out with this plug disconnected and everything works. Not sure what it does but it's connected to the stock radio and the wires go to the Bose subwoofer amp. System has bass so that's why I'm not sure what it does. Your post was the only one I found where someone was guestioning this plug.when using the XSVI-2004 and I did alot of searching

That is Connector C3 from the OEM headunit wiring harness. It is not used when upgrading to an aftermarket unit by means of the AXXESS XSVI-2004 or the PAC ROEM-VET1. Only C1/C2 and C4 are used.

The OEM head-unit has 4 female connectors in the back:
  • C1 / C2 (which is a single siamese connector) - power, ground, BCM data, front and rear speakers
  • C3 - power amp inputs
  • C4 - pre-amp outputs
