Front Camera Wiring Question
Finalizing the install of a front camera and was wondering how folks had chosen to “power” the camera. Did you connect camera power to 1)same power source as HU, 2)different power supply such as Fog Lights or Heated Seat fuse, 3)direct to battery, 4) added a new switch to control when camera was on/off, 5)something else?
Also, for those that have the camera powered up so that it is either always on with “ignition” or always on with the HU, have you had problems with the camera overheating from always being on?
I was planning to just power the camera with the same power as the HU, but was wondering what most folks had done. Thanks for your input/advice!
