I have blend mounts in my Vette and my daily driver. I've been using them for years and have been very satisfied with the mount. My radar detector is a V1 G1. I would recommend one.

I never cared for the blend mount because I feel like it blocks your view too much the way it hangs below the rear view mirror. I went with the scosche magnetic magic-mounts. It stayed in place and never fell even on rougher roads, but I did end up switching the plate on the V1G2 to the larger one so its a little more secure and doesn't seem to want to rotate as much as the smaller one did. Its also super easy to remove the unit as well.

I like the blend mount as there is no glue or suction to worry about. It is a fixed metal attachment that won't go anywhere. No plastic, glue, or suction to worry about. Had it for the C6. The first mod I did when I got my C7 was order a blend mount.
