Hit on the haed
I'm going to change out the Bose 5.25s behind the seats for some 2 ways.
Question is, what is the best way to set the top and the tonneau cover up and out of the way, and ensure the won't lose pressure and drop on me? Removal not an option.
When I stop the motion with both fully up, the top will come smashing down after a few minutes. Without warning!
The toneau cover will stay in place it seems.Thanks.
Really not worth the trouble to replace the rears only. Mono signal, not enough power from the bose unit for aftermarket speakers. Plus I believe the top blocks them when it is down. Not an opinion from personal experience in a vert, but just from reading complaints from vert owners.
When I had to have my top stay up, I used a strap around the top only. It held in place just fine not allowing the top to move down. Be careful when removing the strap when finished. You have to hold the top up in place and operate the top up/down switch at the same time.
Hope this helps.
Again, this is for my 2012 C6 GS Convertible - Bose Nav system.
I'm thinking that with so many C6s (and C7, C5, etc.) and so many owners who are let's say 'dissatisfied' with the Bose system, that someone must offer a direct replacement for the factory amplifier. You know, same, or near same, size to fit in the existing spot in the passenger floor space.
I'm not looking to add electronics in the limited space in the trunk or behind the seats. I prefer to keep that space for luggage, travel bags. picnic coolers, etc.
I've used my considerable Internet skills, but some times 'a little help from my friends' is the best thing.

You might be able to tell from my avatar that I may be a little hardheaded.
