Luv my xm radio. Bought the new Delphi portable unit and can use it in my home attched to an aux port of my stereo.
Drove from NJ to Fl last month and was more than able to have good listening the whole way.
Its a beautiful thing.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Now that winter is upon us, even the very few weak signal spots due to heavy foliage cover are now bare here in the Northeast. Reception is perfect. I haven't listened to standard FM radio in months now.

I just ordered a couple of the new SkyFi units...one for my home and one for my Corvette.
My question is how to hook the unit up to a Corvette when it doesn't have a cassette. I have been told that the unit is coming with a radio hookup that uses the cassette. What do I do without a cassette in my car?

I have installed the Delphi XM SKIFi in my C5 Convertible, Volvo Wagon, 2 in home and in my office – all with one tuner ($10 a month once). It is fantastic. In the C5, you need 2 harnesses to make it work into the BLOWS OEM Head unit. As you know, you do not want to do the FM modulator. The source for the 2 harnesses is LOGJAM ELECTRONICS. See below for contact info. Let me know if this helps. Do let me know if you get this.

II. The items you need:
(1) PIE GM10-AUX Auxiliary GM10AUX 69.95
Input Converter
(2) PIE COR-HAR Cable Harness
Amount : 76.45
(3) You may or may not need a Ground Fault Issolator - Radio Shack $14.00
III. INSTRUCTIONS:
Pull up the passengers footwell carpet and panel along with the right kickpanel. You will probably have to remove the small little hinge panel first which is above the kick panel. Both of the plugs that you will need for the harness are lying in the lower right corner of the passenger footwell. The 3 wire plug has a little piece of white tape on it, the other plug is pretty close to it but its secured to the frame with one of those plasticbarbed push plugs.
