Power amps
I may be in the market for a new amp for my sound system. Being a complete idiot about these things, what is a good brand to get and which ones should I stay away from.
Previous owner installed an Alpine head unit with trunk-mounted amp and supposedly the original Bose speakers.
I don't play a lot of music while driving the C5. I like to listen to the aftermarket exhaust instead. I don't need anything that will break the piggy bank so what do you guys recommend? My existing one has an internal problem.

what speakers are you running? how much can you spend? are you use to buying off ebay? do you need a 2/4 or 5 channel amp? there are a lot of good brands forsale right now. a few of them would be

I think they're the original Bose speakers. No extra speakers seem to have been added. Total of 4 speakers (I think).
I guess what I really need is some good brand names for the amp and you guys have done that.
When I get the car back, I'll check out the existing amp specs and look for one with similar specs in one of those brands.
