Factory XM antennas question
I have always preferred to use search before asking for help. 95% of the time some one else has had the same issue. I’m replacing factory nav unit in my 06 base and replacing with Alpine iLW-W650. My wife wants to retain the XM function so I got the XM receiver. I don’t want to use the XM supplied antenna. I want to use the factory antenna. I did this on my Honda Element and it works great. I even had to cut the ends of both coax and solder them together. What I want to know is there are two antennae at the XM box; one for sat (Yellow)and one for terrestrial (green). All posts deal with using the satellite coax to the new XM receiver. What has anyone done with the green terrestrial coax. Would adding a T and running a single coax to the new receiver help reception?
