Default Focal Subs...
Has anyone here ever heard the shallow Focal 10” subs? I love their components, mid bass, tweeters, etc. but have never heard their subs in person so not familiar with how they perform against JL, Kicker or others known for good deep bass characteristics.
The specific shallow Focal model is the FocalP 25 FSE. Thoughts/opinions?

i've only heard them at the store. The sound was OK. Nothing to write home about. Perhaps the box was not optimal for it or maybe just being broken in. They look and feel very well made.

I was going to try these. On amazon prime so send send back of they don't sound good lol. My plan

I have very little experience with focal. My friends jeep sounded good 👍. Not sure what he spent but it was definitely a nice sounding truck. Not much help but let us know what you end up going with.

Skars are junk, and focal slims sound as good as any other slim sub. There is a tradeoff with the shallow profile., just have to accept that.

VERY VERY hard to beat JL in the shallow sub market. They have some with some truly crazy performance that in no way "sound" like shallows. I've run their TW1s, and now TW5s.

Thanks. A lot of people are using SKAR these days as a great 'budget' sub. Mixed reviews from what I've seen and a lot of people talking about their similarity (almost knock-off status) to the Sundown Audio subs.

I went to a custom shop and told them to put what they would put in their car in mine. I can tell you if someone was having a heart attack, i could put them in my seat and bring them back to life. They put in focal speakers and sub. They did a custom enclosure for the amp and sub. Really happy with system
