Default 1994 C4 PAC 0EM-1 Issue

Hi All, I have just completed installing a navigation system in my C4, Standard shift car. I wired up the Pac unit to the navigation and have kept the Bose speaker system. Navigation and radio, GPS etc. all work after I connected up the Blue/white power to the PAC Ended the day after the installation.
Went out the Wednesday to move the car from the garage and no cranking. ok, put the battery on charge for the night. went out Friday thinking I would wash and maybe wax it, put the key in, radio/navigation system came on and went to crank it and NADA ...nothing, won't turn over. I thought maybe a fuse but all ok, thought maybe something in the dash came loose, but before I would tear into it again I spent Friday on the forum searching. Nothing really turned up on the Forum Tech or Audio, but in General someone made a comment that he heard of a similar issue and it had something to do with the PAC OEM-1.
SO, today I went out and unplugged the Pac plug from the new head unit.....VIOLA, the car cranked right over, put the plug back into the PAC OEM-1 and no crank.
These PLUG N PLAY packages somehow leave a lot to be desired, or better instructions.
I am at a loss on what is interfacing with the PAC to prevent cranking. ANY help is appreciated.
Later Tom

which adapter did you use exactly? The PAC website calls for this one: ROEM-GM21
Perhaps a diagram of your wiring can help in trouble shooting.

Default pac oem-1

Hi, this is what is written on the device, its a black device, and it is what was told to me to purchase for use in the 1994. My 1997 does have the Blue Pac

Hi Vince, thanks for the reply. I used the black one based on a vendor on the site that did installs....anyway, the blue one is what I used on the 97 and all went without a hitch. I have this second blue one and will swap it out tomorrow or Monday and hopefully it will be that simple to just use a different model.
I only posted here on the Audio site so I will see how the swap goes tomorrow assuming the plug connections are the same as the interior is all back in the car. Wish I had tried to crank it before it was all back together but live and learn....life is a learning process.
again, thanks, will update after I make the change.

can you give more details on how this was connected? The blue/white wire of the PAC should go to the blue/white of the head unit.

Default Pac

YES, that is how it is wired, the only wire I did not use was the illumination wire. I unplugged the harness at the Pac unit and the car cranks, put the harness plug back into the PAC and the car won't crank. watching the NFL now for the rest of the day but I think I will remove each plug from the PAC one at a time and see what happens.
I have the blue one and I used it on the 97 without any issue and they are both wired the same (same instruction sheet). Tomorrow I will do the sequential unplugging, if nothing changes I will swap the blue one and retest.

I have the red power to a switched circuit (the one in the glove box as an accessory) but can't figure out what would stop the ability to crank.
