My suggestions were more of a simple, very budget friendly solution. And I did mention it would not be the best quality.
If you buy everything from Crutchfield, they usually offer a package discount and charge a small fee to pre-wire the head unit to the PAC adapter making it a simple plug and play solution.
Just wanted to update. This car will play music through the stock AUX outlet in the center console by opening youtube which is what I usually use to listen to music. Money saved and problem solved.

I use a Bluetooth receiver plugged into the aux port and a 12v outlet in my car. Works great, was maybe 30 bucks in total?
Does your GS have AUX input in the center console? I used this in my 13 GS before I replaced the head unit. It worked great. Automatically connected when the car turned on. I could stop/play, FF/RW whatever was playing on the phone. It also had a MIC, but I only connected it for audio.
I put it right below the shifter and cables ran right into the center console.
