Hey guys quick question. I am planning a audio upgrade to my c7 z06 3lz. I am replacing the front door speakers with a focal 3 way setup and i wonder which speaker to tap into for the amp in the trunk. Should i tap into the front woofer and disconnect the dash tweeter. I know they have a passive crossover somewhere. Or should i tap in the factory mid range on the door. I will still disconnect the tweeter. Im just want to make sure the woofer connecting has a full range audio for the 3 way. O i am going to use a pac audio and the harness for a flat signal
Use the door woofer output of the amp. It is a full range output.
Thank you!! We are talking about the 10” right? Do you know if they make a speaker harness for this? Any other things you have to help me before i start?
Yes, the 10".
For cleanest signal use PAC AMP Pro Module or something similar.
If you don't want to go that route use a high end LOC with Bass restoration feature like Audiocontrol LC7i or amps with this built into it.
If you don't want to cut up your harness, use PAC APH-GM02. BUT do not use the supplied wiring diagram, it is wrong for the Corvette. I can help with the right diagram.
You will have to cut your ANC mic wire at the amp also.
So i am using the whole pac setup to a jl vxi800/8i dsp amp. Im go from the pac to the amp full optical. But whats new to me is i still have to cut the bose anc mic plug? I thought the pac got rid of all the bose equalization

if you use the pac gm61, it doesn't go through the amp, so no need to cut the mic wire.

Which Focal 3 way model did you use for your audio set up? I’m looking into Focal as well for my C7.
I did the kx3165. You have to bi am them fyi. I used the factory wiring. 1 channel from the mid door driver. 1 channel from the woofer. Going from the harness in the back of the car. The might be over kill you could save some money and go with the flax series. Also i used the JL vxi amps with built in dsp, you control everything with you computer connected to the amp
Love my VXi. You made a great choice. You ever need help tuning it, let me know.
i might take you on that offer, i havent okayed with the eq too much. Turned up the fronts 6db lowered the center -3db and the rear. Do i need to get a flat baseline with white. Noise? It sounds amazing to be honest

12 and 13 model have a factory dash tweeter. So mine had 10" midbass in factory door location, 3.5" mid in door panel location, and 3/4" tweeter in dash corner locations. All wires ran to crossovers behind passenger seat.
