Default PAC Audio plug ? What for ?

Hi,

I've only had my C6 for a week. I love it. There is a PAC marked plug in the center console. The end looks like an older iPod plug. I tried my old iPod Touch. The plug fit, but the device said 'not supported'.
I searched PAC audio and it looks like they make a few different adaptors. I assume there is something in the dash connected to the HU.

My bezel needs replaced because of a large crack. Once I find one I will pull the old one off and see what is behind there. The bezel seems to be a hard to find part. I have NAV if that matters.

I know it's not much to go on, but does anyone know what this plug is for ? I would love to use my phone for hands free and music.

Thank you,
Alex

What year is your car ? Do you have the stock nav unit, or aftermarket ?

My guess is it's one of these https://catalog.pac-audio.com/catalo...ary-input/IS77 Which comes through the FM radio, here's the instructions that also show what radio frequencies to tune to so you can hear the iPod. https://catalog.pac-audio.com/index....attachment=704

Thanks madsonp. That one is a possibility. Not sure why it wouldn't sync with my iPod then.

I have a new bezel in transit. I'll be swapping it out soon and I'll find out what is behind there.

Don't have any experience with that setup myself so I really can't say how it sync's. Be sure you let us know what you find.

Unless it’s a really old iPod it probably won’t work. I ran into something similar in another vehicle.
