Box material
I am just going to buy a prebuilt box for $40. These boxes are made from Fiberboard I think… Deffinately not MDF is there something I should do to it? I know that the joints are sealed up, don't know about the panels themselves… Should I put resin in the box? If so what kind?

tear up a old pillow and lightly stuff it, keeps standing waves from "humming" other than that a $40 box is a $40 box. normally i make mine out of 3/4"mdf and sheetrock screw them togeather with glue on the joints. dad has one of those rockwell digital saws that cuts everything perfect so they don't even need to be sealed beyond glue. i remember you were looking at pretty good subs awhile back, my suggestion is spend more on a quality box that's the right size for the sub.

At a minimum, you might consider adding additional bracing if this is lacking. You might want to check out these no-nonsense tips on bracing (easy enough to do and well worth it).

Use a silicone sealer and run it along ALL JOINTS. Then go and get a speaker gasket to seal the driver to the enclosure and bolt it up. If the enclosure is less than 3/4 MDF and it's large you may want to brace it. BUt- if it's for a 10" or smaller, this may not be necessary. Remember that the bracing will deduct from your effective enclosure volume and raise your resonant freq.
