There's snow on the ground now so it's time for another project....
I'm going to replace the carpet and door panels etc. While it's all out I want to really sound insulate the whole thing-inside the doors, floor, etc.
I've seen the dynamat extreme that comes in a ?36 sq. ft? package. How many of those packages would it take to lay down one layer? Or two layers?
Also has anyone compared dynamat with raamat or Be quite-as far as effectiveness.
And one more question....will any of the above stick real well against the vertical surface inside the door- the outer wall of the door?
Thanks for all help!

Yes, I have. In fact, I have Be-Quiet Brown-Bread in my Vette's now. The C4 took about 130 ft^. I did 3 to 5 layers on the doors, rear hatch area, floor pan and up the firewall, every nook and crany. It really helped a lot. The Brown-Bread is the exact same thing as the Dynamat Extreme but cost a lot less. Raamat is good to but is thinner and will require more layers but it cost even less than the Brown-Bread does. I paid around $100 USD for a 100 ft. roll of Brown-Bread on ebay. It's all over the place there for cheap, check it out. Just don't spend a lot on Dynamat when it isn't any better.

Yes, it will stick just fine. I used a heat gun and roller (wooden wallpaper roller) to apply it. I would hate to have to try and remove it, it's on for good! :steering:

I used 4 of the boxes you're referring to in my install. (144 sq ft) You can see the details in my Kenwood Pics post. I doubled the critical parts in the floorboard and wheel wells. I agree that there are many substitutes for Dynamat - I wanted brand name - but there are many cheaper alternatives that are just as good.
Good luck - and post pics when you're done! :steering: :seeya
