I have a 2008 Base Model with a regular OEM radio with cd player. Can I swap it with a OEM radio information navigation display screen (Plug & Play)? What I have. What I want to put in.
I'd suggest if you haven't already bought the Nav system, that you go with a good aftermarket system because the old stock Nav systems are so out of date and don't have near the functionality of the new aftermarket systems, plus they sound better. You'll be much happier in the long run you did. Going with the stock system, if that's what you decide to do will require a visit to the dealership to marry the Nav system to the car otherwise you'll get a fault on the Nav screen, but everything else is pretty much plug for plug except you'll also need to add a GPS antenna if you want the Nav to work properly. Does your old system have XM radio ? If not is that something you want to also ?
I sorta did the same but, I’m going from the base multi disc in my ‘05 to a multi disc with an aux plug in from a ‘13. The lights don’t work on the old radio and is a problem at night, I’m not into sinking a lot of cash into car stereos when the exhaust sounds better.
