Can I cut/splice camera wire ?

installed a front camera in c6 using a Natika camera from amazon, worked fine UNTIL
it got hung up on the wiper motor, I routed the wire too close to it. stopped the wipers from working. easy fix snapped the wiper transmission back together.
I would rather not pull out the head unit to plug in a new camera wire, so I am wondering if its possible to splice the broken camera wire back together ? guess I can try it easy enough and see
