C6/2005 Amp
Hi folks,
Helping father in law fix his 05. It's got no audio coming out of any speakers but the head unit powers up and takes inputs, I'm assuming it's the amp that got cooked from probably the longtubes. He's got the Bose tag on the door speakers, does that mean he's got an updated Bose system, which would require the upgraded Bose amp or are they all the same that year?
I've got a WTB add looking for one, but if anyone has a spare lying around to sell, that would be great too!
Also looking for OEM new front/rear emblems, btw!

You have to find which system you have. For that year model, the bose had 10" woofers in the doors with the amp built into each speaker. The non bose had the passive 8 inch woofer.
I highly doubt that both the normal amp and the bose sub amps have gone out at the same time.
It is likely that the source (headunit) is the problem.
Time for a headunit upgrade.
