C6 Head Unit and Steering Controls Upgrades
I'm finally getting ready to upgrade the head unit in my 2007 Z51 3LT. I'm leaning towards the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX as it has two camera inputs and HD Radio. The other options that offer two camera inputs and HDRadio along with Apple Carplay are the Alpine iLX-407 and the Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX. Anyone who has any of these installed, particularly the W4660, care to offer a review?
My second question is in regards to adding bluetooth controls to the stock 2007 steering wheel. I am thinking just buying the bluetooth controls and cover plate for a 2008 or later but I'm not sure if I also need to change out the radio control side as the article on adding bluetooth to the 2007 seems to suggest. Is there anyone who has done this and can provide some input regarding the right GM part numbers? Does the cover plate come with the GM controls or is that a separate item?
