CD Changer trouble on C5
Has anyone had any trouble with the 12-disc CD changer on the C5? I have a 2002 and the CD player plays certain CDs with a lot of background static or doesn't play them at all (displays 'Err' message) and the CDs are inserted into the magazine correctly. When I take these same CDs to my other car or home CD player, they play fine. I took it to the dealer and they installed a new player with the same results...Any thoughts? Thanks.

Are they original CD's or burned CD-ROM's ? I have heard that some home made CD's don't always play well in the Corvette's changer.

The 'Err' message shows with up with the burned CDs that I have created, and those are the ones that give me the most static. It also happens, however, with several store bought ones. The funny thing is that in every other CD player I own, these CDs play fine.

I had same problem with the changer in my 1998 vert. The burned Cds would play fine in any other CD player, but not in my changer. :crazy:
I changed to memorex "music" CDs and problem solved :thumbs:
