I have searched all over the forums looking for the current model number of the Joying head unit being used for C5 modification, can someone please give me the current model number?
Thanks in advance.
i will be as blunt as i can, but it is ****! I refuse to install these when customers bring them in. i guarantee my labor, and would won't waste my time with that junk. Did a lot of free troubleshooting, and would never buy.
as for your c5, the dd kit is now readily available, and is a simple install
You two would have been a big help, if I was looking for opinions (I am not), really kind of disappointed in the lack of reponse from forum members looking to help.
This seems to tell you what you asked for. Not sure how well you "searched all over the forums" as I found this in about 3 seconds with a google search (joying 8.8 c5 corvette).
As for the other posters, they are trying to help you with their knowledge and experience. The fact that you diss them because they don't tell you what you want to hear says a lot about you. Hope the link helps.
Thank you for your helpful response, unfortunately that model number is no longer available, which is why I am still looking for the current model #. In regards to the other posters, when I receive notifications that I have a response to my question I take the time to look at them, that being said, neither of the two previous posters made any attempt to answer my question, only to criticize my choice, which wasted both of our times. I don't know how I "dissed" them, but if I hurt their feelings, I do apologize. I guess they were "dissing" me when they criticized my choice. You have a good day.

I appreciate that, I have no ill will towards you or anyone else on the forum, I have seen more positive reviews than negative by a wide margin on the joying units, and I do not wish to use one of those horrible looking double din adapters, I will take my chances with the Joying unit. I am trying to be as accurate as possible when ordering the unit so I wanted to nail down the model #
Hi, I know I’m a bit late but I was looking into the same stuff as you. Joying now makes a 8.9 inch din that appears to be updated but I’m not sure if it’ll still fit. Also, let me know if you already figured it out.
