Hello All.. After a long search I finally found the vette I was looking for.. Looking thru countless posts helped me with important decisions and the knowledge here is so helpful.
I have been reading countless posts on how to add a pre amp output without the OEAM-VET1 plug and play module as its no longer available.
If I understand correctly, I can splice into the LF and RF speaker wires coming out of the head unit, and attach a pre amp like a pac SNI-35
I have a couple more questions for anyone who has had to do the same
Thanks Vince C5....There are 2 plugs on the back of the factory head unit... Which plug would i use?.. If the tan/blk wire is positive from the L Front speaker, which wire would be the negative?

Now Im even more confused.. lol The plugs I have contain 2 rows A1-A12 on top B1-B12 on the bottom A8 is the dark green wire which I was told to use as a remote turn on for sub amp
i guess when i take the head unit out again, i will post a picture of the back.. there are 2 wiring harnesses going into it. one on each side.. thats where im not sure on which side to splice into... I just dont want to splice into the wrong one and cause damage
Discountcarstero.com has a CIM-C5, which is an AOEM-VET1 adapter... Austin was excellent to work with.. It is arriving tomorrow.. easy installation... Plug and play.. only have to connect dark green (Pin 8 wire on 20 pin connector) to module for remote AMP turn on...

Thank you also for all your help Vince..
that's awesome. Post a link to that adapter as I'm sure others will find it helpful.
