2013 Vette CD skips
It has skipped on 2 new CD's.
Is the CD player fixable?
Asked dealer and was told that it's no longer OEM and an aftermarket CD player is going for $2k + change, which includes install.
Checked with a car audio store and almost $2k to "possibly repair" it.
Am I hosed?

You can get a 3K% better radio if you go with an aftermarket unit, and no it won't cost you $2K or anywhere close to that. An honest audio shop can probably install an entry level brand name unit for under $500.
