Z06 upgrade help
Ok, I just got an 01 Z06. I love the car, but the stereo is a little weak. I'd like to keep the stock headunit but improve the sound. From doing a little looking through the archives, it looks like I should be able to use a 5 1/4" with a swivel mount tweeter in the back to improve the sound some. From what I've read, this runs straight off the head unit and doesn't need any type of interface, just a standard GM speaker wire harness. Is this correct?
Second, is it possible to upgrade the speakers in the doors while retaining the stock headunit and bose amps or will I need to add an amp to power new fronts?
Finally, does the Z06 have the wiring harness for the CD changer, or will I need to order that? If I need to order it, what is the part #?
