Radio with theftlock. How to reprogram??? Help!
Here's the skinny... On a 99 with theftlock radio, is there a way to reprogram the theft code without going to the dealer? I have a friend whose 99 radio died so he bought a replacement on ebay... :banghead: from what i understand theftlock is activated automatically if a radio is installed in the wrong car. your help is greatly appreciated! :cheers:

sounds like a trip to Townsend Brothers... sorry.
-or- with some thought - a power programmer might reach into it. but for some reason, I doubt it.
The reason? if its anti-theft, why make it soooo easy for someone to make it work again?
I bet money that if the ECU and/or the CCM is changed, the radio would need some help.

Theft Loc is only enabled if someone activated it. If it was not activated, Putting it in a different car wont effect anything. There are complete instructions in any C5 owners manual for enabling and disabling the theft loc
