Installed the edead...
The stuff i linked to a while ago.
I did the DOORS only
This is VERY VERY sticky.
I used a heatgun I got for $29 at home depot.
This stuff melts pretty easily, so careful with the heat gun!
I give it a B- on its ability to contour to edges. maybe I should be using smaller pieces?
I did 2 layers... with a layer behind each speaker.
There is no reduction in road noise, or increase in perceived midbass on the road.
Also, in Metallic songs, there is an irritating resonance at 120-160hz depending on the speaker/door. It takes about -10db on the EQ to get the resonance as quiet as the Edead did.
I'm going to do the whole truck in a layer later on. Two in the floor and back wall, one on the ceiling.
ill need to put actual sound deadener in too...
