There's a brand of speaker that is doing a Mass marketing blitz on social media called CT sounds. They have a set of 3 way components that seem to be built well that I'm considering purchasing and amplifying in my C6. Curious if anyone has any experience with them. I typically dismiss the heavy marketing campaigns, but for whatever reason they have me intrigued. Currently have a 10" sub, an Android powered max-din and stock otherwise. Sounds decent looking for improvement, but don't need audiophile quality.
Can’t say I’ve ever heard of them before, but looking at their website, it looks like pretty decent stuff. If you end up getting some of there stuff, you’ll have to let us know what you think of it.
I don't have much real input but I recall at least a decade ago their subwoofers were highly regarded. It seems like most car audio companies someone gets in the lead then gets leap frogged over as engineering and prices advance. I think the subwoofers were considered to be more on the sound quality side as well as having a high amount of output.
Might check somewhere like DIY Audio website forum if you have not found an answer yet.
I has looking at them yesterday on Amazon. They appear to be an entry level brand and the reviews are good on Amazon but alot of complaints about the old owner and customer service on Reddit. If they are just factory replacements go for it.
My 99 FRC car came fully equipped with CT sounds speakers by one of the POs. They do feel very well built, but I must say, I don't like the way the 3 way components sound. I do have them amped at 100w per channel. I have to spend some serious time EQing them to get them to sound decent, but they're still pretty muddy in the mids. I don't care enough to replace these, but I had a set of 3 way Infinity Kappas in my previous Ford that sounded amazing once EQd.

appreciate this. Think I'll go with a better and more proven brand. I was afraid of exactly what you confirmed.
I bought 4 6.5 "CT sounds speakers to replace all speakers and I’m looking to purchase a 8" or 10" CT sounds sub, MESO type. I just installed a tablet radio in the dash. I’ll let you know how they sound when I’m done.
FYI:
I hooked up the 6.5's to my home audio receiver that doesn’t push them as hard as they could go. I used them as my front left and right in my 5.1 setup and they sounded good without any enclosures, basically just firing. I’m going with full CT sounds set up, I just need a sub now. Hopefully it’s not raining when I get home tonight, and I can run the speakers to the amp and get started.
I'm taking a gamble on them, read good reviews and from the few min of hearing them in my house I'm optimistic. Not trying to annoy the neighbors but I do like nice quality bass especially when the roof is off. Theres so much wind noise and my Borla stinger gurgles a lot so you know how tough it is.

I ordered
2 CT Sounds Strato 8" 600watts rms subs
a CT Sounds 1500 watt rms mono amp
I found a guy in FL that makes custom enclosures to fit 2 10's for the c5. (Found him on YouTube) I called and asked to make a box for 2 8" and sent him the brand and where to get the specs for them.
I can't install the speakers yet because I'm now waiting on 0 gauge amp kit to run 2 amps from a distribution block.
Hey guys, this stereo is amazing. It's very powerful, the 6.5 on the rear driver's side doesn't fit but with a one in space it fits, just not a flush as the passenger side. The subs are crazy, 8" and 2 of them in a custom enclosure they hit loud and hard at 1ohm, their surround is so thick they stick out higher than the mounting surface. I put in the bass **** in because I like to be able to adjust the gain for certain songs or if I have passengers. 6.5's in the doors work great. I only wish I could aim the tweeter. It's hard to get vocals but adjusting the amp and you can get it. Also you almost done need subs these speakers an amp and hu hit hard more punchy and that can be adjusted. I'm going to buy ctsounds for now on. I give it a 5/5
I dynomatted the doors and ran new speaker wires and rcas keeping the original wiring in place connected to the access harness for power to the tablet with all original wires connected so I can always go back if I want to. I just need to figure out which wire turns on the Bose amps. I'm not sure if having them on while not using them is bad for the battery or it's not a problem. What do you think about the amps?
