C5 without Bose
I was so tempted to zombie up a 20 year old thread- but I resisted.
There was a post on the thread which indicated that all C5s came with Bose systems. I’m here to tell you that at least several hundred ‘99 FRCs did not, and I’ve got one such car.
I plan to take a door panel off and see what speakers are upfront. I can tell you that the rear speakers ARE the Bose 5.25” twiddlers, Bose system or not- and I read such an account from one other owner of a car without Bose.

Yep, you're correct. All C5 coupes, convertibles, and Z06 hardtops ('01-'04) came standard with Bose systems, but hardtops ('99-'00) required RPO UZ6 in order to have Bose.
For '99, there were 683 hardtops without Bose
For '00, there were 324 hardtops without Bose.
