I don't wanna spend too much and really don't want a really heavy sub so I lean toward JL 12W6V2, JBL W12GTI, or Diamond Audio TDX 12D4.
They are around 250$ plus shipping on Ebay ...
Which one would be the best for SQ and SPL?

JL's in the proper box sound awesome.
Try and Get 10w0's they can hold more power.

K...first off, jl makes great subs, second off the 10w0 is there entry level cheap 10". not only did he ask about a 12" but the w0's are no where near as good as the W6. JL makes a W7 if you have a nice big amp & deep pockets but it's also a very heavy and deep sub. JL W6's and eclipse aluminums are my favorites in the $200ish range. i'll almost bet money someone adds IDQ to this list  my vote goes to the JL w6 or eclipse aluminums for what you need.

I think you're confused bro. I have 6's that handle more power than the 10w0.

I love the sound stage of the C5 coupe. It is so easy to get SQ and SPL from a sub.
with really deep pockets you could go for an eclipse titanium 12". that would probably blow away the best JL 12". in my opinion (but its personal preference)...
Definetly dont touch the W0s... They are the bottom end speakers and as one member said cant handle to much power.
The other speakers mentioned are good speakers. My personal preferance though is the new Kicker solo-baric L7s... You can get them in 10 or 12 inch there not to heavy and they put out tons of bass. They are also pretty cheap on ebay as well. They dont weigh that much either. I have 2 15s im tossin into the Vette each one weighs about 30-35lbs, according to my scale at my house anyway...
I know the W7s weigh a ton try and stear clear of those, plus they are waaaayyy overrated. Either way good luck man!

I've always thought the solo-barics were overrated. Usually, the heavier a driver is, the more sound it will put out. The Adire Brahma is currently my favorite out on the market. It has one of the biggest linear excursions you can get. Resonant Engineering also has some really good stuff.
I can't wait till they come out with the Brahma 18". That will be my home theater sub of choice. When they finally get around to producing it, it will be the most bad-butt bass machine out there.

Nah the solo's arent overrated at all... I got turned on to them when my friend has L5 8inch solo in his Z28. That thing hit like 2 12's. Everyone would ask him what he had when he said that one 8 they couldnt believe it. Ever since then I had to go with them. Plus I heard them a few other times.
Once at a DB sound off. A guy in a 4 door tahoe hit over 153db with just 2 kicker solo 12s! My friends had told me about it. My buddy who has 3 15s in his F150 (Massive subs, thats the brand name) his 153db flat. So the solo's definetly bang! :D
What subs are you refering too I never heard of that name before?

If anyone is interested in the new Kicker solo-baric L7 12", I have them on my webstore. The price is $229.99 with FREE shipping and handling. Here is the link http://www.tlelectronics.com/catalog...roducts_id=127
It will come with full warranty. If they arrive damaged or found defective within the first 30 days, send it back for repair or a replacement at no charge to you. Once the 30-day is up, you get the typical limited manufacture warranty.

This is my 5 th subs so far: MTX 8000, Diamond Audio M5, Hex, Solobaric, and now I got the JBL W12GTI :D
I have a 10LW3V2... and its a GREAT sub... but I have heard a 10LW6. INCREADABLE.
I was speachless. Simply stunning. and it was not even in a good box. I was in one sound room and the sub was in the other sound room. the sound went right through the walls.
