Default Android radio help

Hey Everyone,

I just installed an android radio with the VET1 metra adaptor. Question is, does the blue amp turn on wire need to be connected? I don't have it connected but have sound from all four speakers...not sure if subs in doors are controlled by this amp? I also have no control with the pots for gain...assuming this is related?

Assuming from your profile picture and the fact the VET1 Metra adaptor is for the C5, I'm pretty sure I've read that the speakers are powered from the head unit outputs and that the door subs are powered from the amp, which means that you should indeed need to connect the blue amp turn on wire somewhere to activate the amp and door subs.

After hours of checking and rechecking, I went to an authorized Metra dealer....They said they refuse to use that adapter, and reinstalled my PAC ROM type from my last radio and it worked perfectly....The trouble was that the supplied adaptor was defective and would not communicate with the Bose amp. All is great now, but everone that I talk to over the phone says it's choppy and doesnt sound great. I am using the external mic.
