My shipment should have been here this week. But it is being delay for the past few days because of the snow up on the northeast side of the country. Hopefully it will get here next week. :)
I understand what some of you are saying about the shock occuring to the drive, but what bothers me the most is temperature. For those of us who live where it gets really cold, it can't be that good on an hd to spinup that cold.
I just talked to their tech support, and it has an operating range of 32-150 degrees Fahrenheit. So, if you live in a cold region, let it warm up before you use it.
I personally don't like the interior of my car to be that cold when I'm driving. :jester
If you take the removeable jukebox unit indoors with you it should remain warm enough to operate until the car warms up (when you put it back in).
Okay, I am interested if it works with Alpines AI Net, and How do you get the MP3's on it? Can you just plug the drive into your pc or do you have to have the adapter?
Doug
As promised, here are some pics of my install. Notice that I install it in the rear compartment. I will run it there for few more weeks and see if there is any problem with heat. If yes, I will just move it to another location. No big deal. :)
And here is a picture with it playing through my Alpine headunit via the CDC adapter. Notice that it also shows the song title. :)
Thanks - nice photos. Looks like a good deal all around. How do you like the sound quality compared to audio CDs through the Bose system?
Also, I was considering mounting the unit vertically behind the passenger seat just below the lip of the rear shelf. Should make the wiring to the front of the car easier.
Thanks again. Once tax time is over I'll be in the market for one. :seeya

Thanks. I can't tell any differences between good quality MP3's and the CD's. I let a few others listened to it and they couldn't tell either. :D
Now I see this. I just bought a Kenwood Excelon CD player w/Matching 10 Disc CD Changer. Would have sound impresive years ago. :yesnod:
But I see the Kenwood Keg,Sony has a MP3 unit and this one you have looks pretty nice..
Dont see having 5000 songs. Unless I could have the songs in folders and open Hard Rock then change to Country when the Wife jumps in.. But I think your system just puts them in the order they came in and you may have to jot down what songs next..
But one thing is so very true about this unit. After install this unit will be your best friend and hold all those song you truely love over and over agine with out wear..Very Timless and trustworthy like the Car you drive..
I may sell my changer and get this. But then I would have to get on Cable for my broadband service. You know to get songs off the net.. $65.00 a month damn.. IM on tele line with my new Sony P4 Laptop.... :(

The NEO is very flexible. You can indeed place songs into folders. Then play them back in-order; or in random order per folder; or in random order per all folders.
My folders are:
Dance
Rock
Classic Rock
Jazz
Easy Listening
Comedy Clips
