Head Unit upgrade C5

I'm looking to upgrade my current Pioneer X920BT to something more modern with Apple car play. My question is: If I replace it with a current Pioneer unit, can I reuse the harness and PAC-ROEM, hopefully leading to a simpler install?
Also, any recommendations on mid range units would be appreciated.
