Default 1994 Front Speaker Size ??

I did some searching for the answer to this with no luck so I have to ask.

It has been desided the bLose Gold system is coming out.
I have not pulled the front speakers yet so I was wondering what will fit there once I clear the hole?

From what I can gather the rears are a simple 6x9.

I will put a false floor in the rear to hide the amps and make a mounting place for one Kicker Solobaric 8" over the cubby hole.

THis should be enough to get started.

My 94 has 4 X 6 Infinity plates on the floor upfront, bought the car with it that way.

The blose speakers are a 2 way design.

They consist of a 4" mid and a 1.5" tweeter thingy.

You can EASILY fit a pair of 5.25" 2 way separates. Any thing else - other than 4x6 plates - require some custom work.

The rears are actually 6" rounds. you are best off to make baffles to accept a 6x9 into the space provided. The other option, is a 6" round to match.

a 10" will fit into the cubby. I personally prefer JL subs... W3, W6 or W7 series.

here are a couple of design considerations:

1) 8" subs will fit in the rear enclosures.

2) install a nice sub, excellent quality separates up front and good amp(s).

I would recommend an alpine head unit, no matter how far you wanna go.

4x6 in the front and mine had 6x9s in the rear .. stock Bose.

The front speaker grill kills highs. so keep that in mind when you're looking at speakers. I put some Boston 4x6 plates in the front because they sounded great in the store. Yanked them and stuck some Polk 4x6s in to get more highs.

Nothing wrong with it in that respect.
I have always hated Bose equipment and these systems have done nothing to change that.
I just want to upgrade the sound quality/quantity.

Thanks all for the replys so far !
Sure seems to be a couple of different opinions as to what fits??

I like learning little things about the components as well. Like the front grills killing the highs.
Maybe I will redo the carpet with the speaker carpet the shops have.

Hmmm
