Default Audio tuning question

Many people here's audio expert. Could y'all please answer couple questions:
If I got a sub, should I set my front speakers high pass on or let it play full range?
If I set the high pass on, what frequency should I set the HP to?
And what frequency should I set for the sub low pass?
Thanks in advance

you should always high pass your speakers, they arent meant to play below X hz...

i would play with it and see what sounds best

usually 80hz for 5.25's

70hz for 6.5's

I would set your front speakers at around 60-80 and up (high pass) for a 6.5" and around 80-120 and up for a 5.25" in front, not sure what you are running. This just general setup. Then I would low pass the sub at around 80-120. This is all dependent on your speakers and what sounds best for your listening preferences. Don't let your front speakers run full range, they will just bottom out and distort.

Wow, y'all stay late like me he :D
I got 8" MTX blue thunder, Infinity Kappa perfect T tweeter and they got hooked up to Rockford Fanatic Q Xover ... yep, multi brands :D
My HU now got 50, 80, and 125 for HP and the same range for LP.
BTW, my amps also got HP and LP and they should be the same as HU, aren't they?

Please correct me if I'm wrong ...
Right now, from my understanding, the HP xover will handle from the high freq to the low setting freq and the LP xover will hanle the low freq to the high setting freq.
For example, if I set the HP to 50 and LP to 125 which means the HP will play from 50Hz to the possible highest freq and the LP will play from the possible lowest freq to 125 Hz.
If all of these assumsions are correct, I will set my stereo amp HP to 50 and my mono amp LP to 125. This case, I can adjust the HP and LP freq from the HU since my amps now can handle all freq's.
