where should i run the wire the from the alt to the batt on the c5. should i go along the front of the car? or the back of the engine, but it seems like theres no room back there and i dont want to burn my power wire up :eek:

I ran 2 gauge from the alt to the battery, not to the starter terminal where the factory cable goes :smash: . Anyway, I went to the local Tractor Supply Co. and got 3/4 inch I.D. high pressure line hose. I then used the hose to insulate my power cable. Routed by the frame to the brake booster around the back of the engine above the firewal but below the cowl panel. Used aluminum tape to further insulate and viola, little bit of extra wire loom and black electrical tape, my dealer has to do a double take to realize it's not factory. :cheers:
