New h/u install
When I purchased my 00 coupe the owner gave me an Alpine 1.5 (don't have the model # with me, but seems to be a nice unit). Anyhow, it was installed in the car at one point, but then he put everything back to stock before selling the car to me. I would like to go ahead and replace the h/u and the front speakers. Do I still need the PAC OEM-1 to do this? In the near future I will add a sub and amp, so I do not want to buy the adapter if at all possible.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you are going to replace the front headunit and front speakers at the same time, then you don't need to get the PAC adapter. Just power the new front speakers with the new aftermarket headunit. While at it, it is definitely worth it to replace the cheapo rear speakers as well. You can get a nice set of rear speakers (6 1/2") for fairly cheap. To get an idea, check out my webstore http://www.tlelectronics.com/catalog...t.php?cPath=25
And if you need any of the install kit, wiring harness or GM antenna, I have those as well. Here is the link http://www.tlelectronics.com/catalog...t.php?cPath=28
Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
