A member of this forum was kind enough to tell me I am probably blowing my rear speakers because of loud music and not a very good amp in the stock Bose system. What can I do to upgrade the amp? I dont need a killer system. I just want something to enjoy some good classic rock at a nice volume level without listening to distortion and lots of speaker static. I am not a lover of deep booming bass either. I plan on buying a new C6 so I dont want to spend a ton of money. I did order another pair of rear speakers (same type). What can I do with $750 to upgrade my stock amps? Is it easy for me to do myself?
Also, most of the music coming from my system is biased to the front. When I set the fader to enjoy more from the rear I have to increase the volume control quite a lot to have a balanced sound. Is this normal?
